Based on the headline I got the impression that the bible was excluding these two amendments. As in, their absence was jarring in the presence of the other amendments.
The truth is that they left out 17 amendments. Because it’s Trump. It’s aimed at people who don’t care about the Constitution. The customers just want the greatest hits, the big names.
Misleading headline aside, here’s what the they actually omitted (aka here’s a truth which doesn’t leave anything out.)
-
Can’t sue a state unless you live there.
-
Structures electing presidents / VPs.
-
Slavery is banned except when it isn’t.
-
Born on US soil == you’re 'Merican, Harry.
-

-

-

-

-
Suffrage regardless of sex.
-

-

-
The two term limit for Presidents.
-
Gives D.C. electors.
-
You can vote even if you didn’t pay taxes.
-
Formalized the VP succeeding a dead president.
-

-
That time when Congress took 200 goddamn years to impose a restriction on their salary.
I don’t remember people ever writing cursive like what I was taught growing up. People just self-servingly turbo-scribble some chicken-scratch and call it a day. The kid who can’t read our B-movie elvish script isn’t the one with literacy issues.
We either write within the ballpark of standardization, or we don’t. I think kids should be required to put in as much effort into learning cursive, as people put into actually writing cursive. Which is to say, absolutely none at all.
(Sorry to people who actually write legible, clean cursive. I wish I got to read your output in the wild.)
Journalists being killed almost certainly refers to journalists actively reporting on the war, embedded in units, the ones with passes. They are actively linked to orgs so when they die they’re accounted for as a killed journalist.
I think including every single death of a civilian who happened to be a journalist but wasn’t working as one would be too literal an interpretation.
Aston Kutcher, a celebrity famous for his philanthropy, says a man guilty of two rapes should have his charity taken into account.
In other words: A man with excess money, and who gives some of that excess to charity, says a person’s charity should balance out that person’s crimes.
He’s impressionable and lived in a liberal area and then a conservative area. Like an empty vessel filled by those around him.
Search results are dependant on who is searching. But still:
When you use DuckDuckGo the first result is wikipedia.
When you use Google the first results are corporations.
When you use Bing the first result is a corporation, then Wikipedia.
Brave search gives an AI summary of carbon capture, an investment page, one of the corp pages, and then a breakdown on why ‘carbon capture’ is a misleading tactic.
Edit: All this to say, maybe stop using Google.
The article draws most of its facts from a tiktok video of a person saying they found X, discovered Y, heard Z from Facebook.
The link that says “businesses team up with bots” links to a tiktok video.
They reinforce the idea that people figured this out because people said it was happening in India, on Facebook.
I wonder if there’s any smoking guns?
He says there’s no antisemitism in his close circles, as if that matters, but it’s also a lie because he himself backed a “Jews are trying to replace whites” post on Twitter.
Also, he said he was Jewish by association because he has a lot of Jewish friends. Different brand of ridiculousness from what the headline implies.
Hey, I stayed at one of their homeless shelters. You should donate just for that. Where else will you get rotten food? Whose going to talk shit about you? Whose going to throw your fragile possessions during check in and treat what little you have as a toy?
Don’t you want people to have bloodstained linens to sleep on? How else are people going to stand in 110F heat for fucking hours while the idiot Berber Christians have their meetings?
I really appreciated how little time I spent there, how little I interacted with others, how little I asked, but I was always met with annoyance and contempt when I did ask for something. Like please may I have a pillow case not covered in blood? I know it’s a lot to ask!
They always walked away knowing they were good christians so good luck speaking up. The shelter ran by ex prisoners was much less degrading.
