Guessing some of the commenters have never dealt with Telstra here in Australia - it’s already reported that these telcos just flat out never tested any phone that they haven’t sold - phones that up until now were actually working perfectly fine (and even have the same model handset being sold by Telstra/Optus/Vodaphone etc) suddenly disconnected.
It is purely laziness on the part of Telstra and the rest of them and they are using it as an excuse to get people to buy their handsets instead - have not seen one of the “offers” of zero cost replacements either……
Telstra are just corporate scum and this could have been handled a whole lot better but then again you only have to look at the shitfight that we have here called the NBN - a national government funded internet network that the telcos will charge you more than the rest of the developed world to access and nowhere near the speeds, level or service or quality as seen in the rest of the world……
Nobody here in Australia is really surprised this was a massive cock up and anyone who is mustn’t have ever heard of Telstra then……
As someone who works in aviation regulations, this just means they have updated the regulations - they have not greenlit any operators or any actual vehicle designs - that is still many years away given that manufacturers and operators would still need to seek approval to actually operate - that’s all still undecided - it’s just the framework is now there where it was not before.
Really? So I could use my Wacom Cintique and my 2024 versions of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Animator on Linux then? Because I use them to make a living and if I cannot use them on Linux easily then there is no point.
As a former Linux user from the early 00’s the biggest hurdle was art software and convincing Linux users that Adobe software means more than just Photoshop……
Is Crunchyroll actually beholden to US law if they are a Japanese owned company?
Here in Australia the moment someone in the US cries foul it is waved away because simply not applicable to the laws of this country regardless what US federal law is broken, the same way all these other international companies wave away breaches of Australian law 🤷🏼♀️
I guess it would come down to the employment contract and if he was employed by a Japanese company or a US owned one?
Not sure which is why I ask.
“The Transformed Wife” is the worst of all the Transformers - must be a Decipticon hell bent on hating all women with brains….
I really don’t care to pay for access to a search engine that’s private, good results, no AI garbage results or reddit results….but you can say that you get what you pay for really…
It’s an insignificant amount of money considering some people spend a lot more than that in a day on a take away coffee….
I am currently testing Kagi (they have a free tier limited to 100 search queries) and it’s the BEST.
I haven’t seen garbage AI or Reddit results in two days and actually find what I am looking for….
Going back to Google? - never, I’ll pay to use Kagi rather than subject myself to Googles AI garbage now after only two days.
I’m glad I live in Australia where this doesn’t happen thanks to previous attempts by IP copyright holders (mainly US based ones) to have similar policies forced upon ISP’s here and being told by judges here that the penalties and expectations and demands made by these said IP copyright holding companies was over the top and excessive and thrown out of court……
Huh? I’m an Aussie and the last time I checked we are a seperate country from New Zealand and OUR government basically saw to it that OUR citizen was returned home and unlike this bloke, Assange has hardly had it “easy” living in an embassy or recently jail……Dotcom has been living large in NZ in comparison……
There were no back door deals about this guy for Assange - completely different situations….🤦🏼♀️
