Ugh, in the wars of history if you were retreating from the front lines there was at least some hope that unless you got really unlucky you might improve your chances of survival. Now with drones on overwatch it seems like you’re as likely to catch a shell when you’re trying to get away as when you’re right at the front.

Seems like a bad place to be an invader in someone’s sovereign territory doesn’t it?

Fantastic band! If you’ve never seen it before, I’d really recommend watching 24 Hour Party People which is a biopic about Tony Wilson, the guy who signed the Happy Mondays.

Yes, early 40s from the UK so most people here learn in a manual car. I drive electric now so it only has forwards and backwards to choose from. Can’t say I miss the old manual much, it’s just so much more chill driving an auto.

If it’s any consolation it still isn’t much better in the UK. My gift from work to celebrate the birth of my child was two weeks off - one at full pay and one at statutory paternity pay level. Welcome to the world new human, here’s your pay deduction!

Ah brilliant, thanks so much! So many options to choose from so I didn’t spot this one.

Definitely noone needing to ask what this one means 😂

I love his simple gags like this, he’s always done them so well. Loved my books of Larson cartoons when I was a kid.

Fucks sake. The kids there break my heart. Wish Putin would die already so we can stop this madness.

More riffy than specifically tappy, but get on Alpha Male Tea Party. Physics House Band are a wonderful mix of math and jazz. Cleft were amazing and the dear departed Dan Wild-Beesley is genuinely missed.

The Greatest Generation: a Star Trek podcast by a couple of guys who are just a little bit embarrassed to have a Star Trek podcast. Ben and Adam watch an episode of Star Trek and discuss it with lots of dumb jokes. Worth listening from the start!
