Negatively labeling outsiders is key to the overall program and being offensive is a sport since it evokes an emotional reaction. Slurs cover those bases.

Can we sit it out AFTER we can him a piece of shit? I think that’s important for anybody who wants to be an ally to be heard too.

We don’t want to be like all those “good” cops and “good” republicans that everybody is waiting to hear speak up.

Not really, he has a stereotype of what a Black person acts like, that includes saying the n word.

He can’t comprehend there are some people who are both Black and find the word distasteful. So to him if a Black person won’t say it, then they’re not Black.

It’s perfectly logical when looking at it from a racists viewpoint. And if you haven’t noticed there’s a lot of them these days, it’s important to understand how they think, so you can do risk management on what they’re trying to do.

Do t just write them off as “evil” and illogical because that makes it harder to fight them. Their logic might not be based on facts or critical thinking but there is a type of logic there. Flawed logic is still logic.

It’s not about if they want to say it or not it is about society accepting if they can say it or not. When a non-black person sings a rap song, they are supposed to omit the n-word. If you are black, you’re free to say it when desired.

This is basically saying. What if Karmala is raping and gets to an n-word. Is she free to say it?

She is not “African-American” which the word refers to

African-Americans accepting her into the “black” group based on skin color is essentially reverse racism. “She looks like us so she can be one of us”

This is coming from a white Mexifinn-American. I don’t get accepted as being Mexican because I don’t have the skin color, and I don’t get accepted as Finnish because I have a Hispanic last name. I don’t care because I enjoy being treated as an American. I get treated like I’m “white” though.

Sad reality is Harris would get treated as “black”

I don’t have a n-word card to give so I can’t make the call

Eh

It’s not as cut and dry as it used to be.

Even a decade ago, Ice Cube made eye contact with me at a concert and said it’s weird if we dont sing it when singing along. Like, he said it to the whole audience I’m just tall as fuck, was standing up front, and at peak tan look like a sheet of printer paper.

It stopped being a clear cut (black and white if you would) issue a long time ago.

I mean, if you’re around Black people who use it frequently, eventually you’re going to say it. You might feel bad the first time, there might be a discussion, but that’s just how language works.

Picking up words/phrases/idioms isn’t something that happens consciously. Especially when the people around you use it to refer to you too. Not like there’s a milestone you hit and you get permission. But if people say it referring to you just like anyone else that’s using it, eventually you’re gonna say it.

It all depends on how someone says it, and how they handle themselves.

Like if you half ass every word and then scream the n word, people aren’t gonna be happy. Bouncing your head and it comes out like every other word?

I’d be real surprised if anyone mentioned it

Although I laughed at the idea of Kamala Harris casually assaulting people, then drawing the line at black people, it’s “Rapping” not “raping”.

How about she’s black because it’s not only how she identifies and her skin color, but also because it’s the US and the average bigot on the street (or on Lemmy) isn’t going to go, “Hey I’ll take it easy on this one because I know her her blackness comes from Jamaica.”

No one needs to “accept” that I’m white, and I don’t give a fuck whether they do. I very much doubt that Kamala give a shit who “accepts” her as black, and I’m very sure she doesn’t care what a bunch of bigoted republicans think about the matter.

You know how I know when someone’s comment about race is going to hold no value whatsoever? When they think “reverse racism” has meaning of any kind.

Oh wow, i was going to write a whole speech about how “blacks are animals” is not how modern racism works. It can’t be That is a 17th century view on racism and today’s racism is much more about politics, fear, insecurity and sometimes just social ignorance. Surely a public and succesful person like Kevin Sorbo would not be so brain damaged as to think black people are not human.

Imagine my surprise when I find he literally called black people animals…

No, this is just agitation. The logic is that posting that on twitter will occupy and upset liberals. Don’t give trolls the benefit of sincerity
