When has violence ever been the answer?

When we got union’s, when we got LGBT rights, when women got the right to vote, when black people got the right to be seen as equal human beings (its a work in progress), and pretty much any other successful protest around the world. Pick one.

Yeah I remember how the RAF dissuaded the Luftwaffe from bombing London by flying up there and giving the German pilots hugs

To add onto what @bumblebrainbee said, the American revolution, the French revolution, the Russian revolution, the Haitian revolution. The American Civil War, Arab Spring, the Irish War of Independence. Violence has long been an unfortunately necessary tool to better the lives of oppressed people.

Pretty much all of history has shown times of peace and comfort lead to stagnation. Which unfortunately means that violence to some extent has always been part of the answer
