The 196 community on reddit, and here, have one rule : you must post before you leave. Its on the about tab for the community.
Once you go in to c/196, posting is the “correct” way out. Its a way to generate lots of largely random content, which is the vibe people want from c/196.
Most people make a joke about the rule in the title to this “compulsory” post. Its just part of the fun.
