I was asked to fix a new Garmin not charging. I asked what cable they were using and was told it was their old cable. This is what the old cable looked like.

Fun fact, what killed their last Garmin was corrosion on the pads in the same position.

Garmin chargers are hot garbage, even the official ones. It’s always recommended to buy at least 2 at a time, since they break so quickly.

The puck style charges seem to be a little bit better, but I’ve had ones that only worked 1 time.

I’ve had mine for years, zero issues.

Ditto, but I don’t exercise as much as they do so I assume its longevity is based off of how much you sweat.

I work outdoors, sweat/dirt/dust/rain/poison ivy/etc. Only thing I’ve had to replace is the watchband.

Huh interesting, I’ve had my watch for over 2 years and never had issues charging it. Maybe it helps that I don’t wear it every day?

Yeah if theres something bad with garmin watches its definitely the charger. Ive had a garmin for like 1 month and i already have contact issues while charging.

By the looks of it you gotta stop biting your nails. Kills your teeth and your nails alike.

I also hate Garmin chargers but mine has worked for many years. I just find them annoying to fit
