At what point do things start to go pop?

I’ve read quite a few sources that say the tire pressure needed to pop is 200 PSI. Though a recommended amount is only 40, so the 100psi in the image is probably still dangerous. You’ve also got to think that in hot weather the pressure could increase even more, maybe by 10-15PSI so that could make it even more dangerous.

Not to mention the momentary pressure spikes you get from the tire deforming at speed over a obstacle.

depends on the limit of the tire. I once blew off a bike tire with a tire compressor at like 70 psi. Honestly grateful I didn’t hurt my eardrum.

But equally road bikes regularly go to 120

I had the seal on my pump go at about 90 the other day which was a pain but I got it back up to about 70 by just pushing the seal together… Judging from that I don’t think 90 is enough to kill anyone
