Given that spez went full Elon and negated years of precident with the API, I wouldn’t be surprised if he started unplugging random servers to see if Reddit still worked

Honestly, I think we have better content nowadays, but said content is harder and harder to find. At the same time, said content probably gets more and more viewership as well.

I feel like if I was born in the 90s, I would’ve killed to have content like Kurtzgesagt or LinusTechTips or Wendover or NileRed or Adam Ragusea etc etc. Although you had your Bill Nyes and Mythbusters and whatnot, there couldn’t have been a way to make high-quality content without the resources and reach that a platform like YouTube offers today.

AFAIK in the US, the police usually reach out to victims and ask if they would like to press charges. Does this not happen in Canada? It would probably make victims more motivated to file reports.

In the US, they will call the cops if they know you did something illegal, so it does require some form of secrecy from the patient.

In the US with private insurance. I basically just go online, search for providers in my insurance’s network, and then check a different list of different procedures and their costs according to my insurance. Sometimes it’s $30 if I’m seeing my main doctor, $30 for a specialist, $40 for urgent care, $0 for a specific telehealth provider, 20% for an ER visit etc. The main thing I genuinely like about my plan is that the monthly out-of-pocket price cap for generic medications is pretty low. That being said, I know a few people who pay $0 for 90% of what they need with everything else being cheap

Where do you live that makes you wait a year for an appointment with a PCP? I’ve only ever waited a month or more for a particular set of specialists where I’m at.

A toxic community won’t help you in good faith when you’re running into issues, and this makes it harder to develop using a language with a toxic community.

Touche. I personally found Discord users to be helpful and welcoming, but that was moreso for libraries and not languages.

Not sure about cheapest, but Wasabi is affordable considering no data transfer fees
