Remember when Cyberpunk fucked up their release. They knew they fucked up and owed it to the gamers. They told their board and stockholders to hold off, and that they needed to rebuild trust with their users before they could make line go up.
So they took their time, they redid many of the mechanics that people didn’t like, the fixed all of the bugs, and then they released Phantom Liberty - one of the best expansions I have ever seen in gaming history. Good enough where it could have been a game on it’s own.
That is how you rebuild trust with the community. You tell your stockholders to shut the fuck up and let you do what you do best. If they don’t trust you to do that, then fuck em, they can sell their stock, why are they holding stock in a company they don’t trust?
I had a mask on in the grocery store yesterday and got some weird looks. Like people I’m not afraid of getting sick…
I AM sick
This is for you, you morons
I trust the city government with my water much much more than companies trying to save every penny bottling water.
So I’d say the posting frequency here on Lemmy is pretty good then!
We built a country with almost no public transportation, made it extremely car oriented, have actively pushed against bike lanes, and now parents are wondering why e-bikes aren’t very safe. They’re not even the best alternative, it’s just in this weird car-centric society we built they’re the only alternative.
I’m definitely too old, but as a Millennial I love Gen Z. They got their funny internet things, their doom memes, their music, and I say go for it. They’re picking up and running with the rights for all, they’re more open than we even are, and it’s just awesome to see. People love to make fun of the younger generation but are so quick to forget what we were actually like back then.
“Sorry, your device appears to be running Linux, please only use approved Apple or Windows devices to log in, with our required surveillance system pro installed. Thanks.”
Half of those meetings are business MBAs asking “Why isn’t more getting done on this project?”
Love it. People look at me like I’m crazy for trying to go greener, and I see this stuff online all the time.
“Haha EVs are so dangerous! Look at the fire hazard” like you aren’t literally parking a tank of explosive gas in your house every night
“It doesn’t have nearly the range of gas” They say while driving a massive truck that needs filling every week, meanwhile my charger at home is needed once a week and costs 1/6th a tank of gas
“Solar doesn’t even cover the entire electric bill” Sure, it only halves it…
So much simping for big oil companies. Always reminds me of this from the Simpsons
