I’m not going to twitter to see but are they still using the little blue bird? I thought everything was X now.
They reference Twitter all over their own site. The site is still Twitter.com. Here’s their page for advertisers.
Kinda related question. Is there a way to get the blue bird back? Like a chrome extension or something like that
They really should adopt Xitter as a transition nickname. Bonus: it actually suits theplatform the most.
James Woods has one of the highest IQs on record, but it goes to show you that being smart doesn’t make you smart…if you catch my drift.
ETA: not really sure why people took exception to this. It has been reported many times over the years that he is supposed to be exceptionally intelligent and I am certainly not making this up.
That claim came from a single source; Sinembargo.mx. MENSA also refuted this claim and a perfect score for a MENSA test is also “just” 162. It’s highly unlikely to be true.
He’s too dumb for even MENSA, the club for mouthbreathers that pay money to be told that they’re smart.
They got a free online test too though, it does however come with a long text telling the mouthbreather that the result is only valid when the test is taken in person with them.
high intelligence is a strong predictor of mental illness, of which this is an unfortunate example.
Looked this up just now, it seems it’s not true
hmm, interesting! it’s been considered “common wisdom” since I was in university, always intriguing to have these unquestioned misconceptions corrected.
This reminds me of a study I read once that found that more intelligent people are better able to talk themselves into believing whatever they want to believe. I wish I could find it again. It was really interesting!
His comment rightly SHOULDN’T be removed. I strongly disagree with him, but he should be allowed to say it.
“Allowed” by whom?
The right to free speech protects him from the government, not a content policy from a private company.
Free speech is a concept that exists outside the first ammendment or other laws. Pretending it doesn’t is intellectually dishonest.
I mean, sure, it’s a concept that exists, but so is the concept of, “Talk shit, get hit.”
Concepts aren’t enforcable. Laws and policies are. Please learn the difference.
It’s funny how that rule often gets applied unevenly to one side, though.
I don’t understand free speech absolutists. You don’t think that maybe calling for all Palestinians to be killed is maybe a bit genocidal and should perhaps be discouraged on a social media platform?
Mind you this isn’t a law and wouldn’t lead to any actual limiting of liberties, it just means we discourage genocide on social media. Something that seems pretty reasonable to me, and I think any large enough platform should probably feel some obligation to do.
It deliberately violates one of Elon’s rules. https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1725645884409401435?t=of_wAna2huOq-T3xFaOk4A&s=19
This is so fucked up. Across various social media platforms you have genocidal Zionists loons saying what they want using #KillThemAll, but yet Palestinian voices are being silenced and ol Melon Husk bans the phrase “From the river to the sea…”.
It’s both. If it didn’t have a plausible legitimate use, it wouldn’t work as a dog whistle.

Everybody has bad actors, and they serve to complicate what oughtn’t be complicated, including language.
Is Kibbutz Be’eri on occupied land?
Is Tel Aviv on occupied land?
Is Haifa on occupied land?
It means different things to different people. There are definitely a few that use it with a genocidal intent. But as you said that he’s not it’s de facto or historical meaning. It has a much longer history than the last few months. Most people complaining about it only just learned of it. And have no idea about its history or what it actually tends to mean.
Yes, and the end of those “illegal occupiers” too.
Both sides want to genocide each other, it’s just that Israel is more powerful and Palestine is the underdog
Don’t mind them. They probably felt uncomfortable hearing “Black Lives Matter” too. Saying it’s a call for genocide for white people.
Across various social media platforms you have genocidal
Honestly if you look outside your comforts zone you’ll realise every genocidal maniacs have been hanging out on twitter since its creation. After the terror attack in France we had all the insane islamist praising the asshole, that’s nothing new
I agree banning that phrase seems hypocritical but what is wrong with calling for the killing of a militia that killed thousands of civilians? Wouldn’t this be like the killing of osama bin laden after 9/11? Didn’t they kill hundreds of young people at a music festival promoting peace? I’m aware there’s collateral but calling for a ceasefire to protect civilians is the only reason to suggest the killing stops when their enemy has openly stated it will not stop doing this ever. If they want change to their policy of genocide of isralies I’m sure that’s a good start to peace talks but so far I don’t think they have.
I think you’re confused. It is Israel committing genocide and have said they will never stop even after all the hostages are released.
No, I don’t think I am but may be. Are you saying hamas didn’t kill all those unarmed civilians and are you saying hamas has never stated they have a mandate to destroy the whole of Israel? Please just stick to those two questions and then make any points you want to add after. Thankyou
will, that clears that right up!
